What is the PIVOT Fellowship?
A fellowship + venture readiness pathway that helps startup-ready talent pivot confidently between corporate, startups, and the ecosystem—while building real capacity where it’s needed most.
Every pivot deserves a pathway.
Overview
PIVOT Fellows is a 3-month placement fellowship for professionals and startup-ready talent who want a real on-ramp into the innovation economy—without taking a blind leap.
A selective program that allows emerging venture ecosystems to have the density of larger, more established markets. Markets with high density and outcomes allow their participants to quickly and sustainably transition from corporate -> startup, from startup -> startup, or from startup -> corporate quickly and reliably. Pivot Fellows creates this missing density.
Fellows combine their existing skillset (from corporate roles, startups, or community work) with optional venture readiness training—a short, accelerator-style learning track that helps people become venture-literate and effective inside early-stage environments. Many corporate professionals will start here; experienced founders may opt in only where it adds value.
Then Fellows complete fractional, high-impact stints (8–20 hours/week) with high-growth startups or ecosystem organizations—building credibility, relationships, and a body of work that travels.
A key pathway for founders between ventures
PIVOT is also built for founders who are starting their first or next company—or who have recently shut down, exited, or rolled off a previous startup and want to stay in motion. The fellowship creates a structured way to remain in the ecosystem, build density, contribute meaningfully, and discover the next move with momentum instead of isolation.
Why PIVOT, Why Now
Emerging ecosystems don’t fail from lack of talent—they fail from lack of density and capacity. PIVOT Fellows helps build both by creating repeatable pathways for venture-ready people to contribute, learn, and stay in the game—so the ecosystem compounds capability over time.
Two Fellowship Tracks
Venture Fellows (Startups)
Placed with high-growth startups to support execution in roles that extend the team—helping companies move faster while giving Fellows real operating signal.
Catalyst Fellows (Ecosystem Orgs)
Placed with ecosystem support organizations to increase capacity in programs, partnerships, operations, and ecosystem coordination—strengthening the pathways founders rely on.
Who It’s For
PIVOT Fellows is built for people who are:
Transitioning from corporate into startup, innovation, or venture ecosystem roles and vice versa
Founders between ventures who want density, credibility, and opportunity while they shape what’s next
Startup operators or leaders looking to level up venture literacy and expand into new roles
Ready to build proof through real work—not just networking or coursework
Fellows tend to be purpose-driven, coachable, and execution-oriented—with a bias toward action and impact.
What Fellows Gain (Outcomes)
This isn’t a generic “career clarity” program. It’s a pathway to venture-literate experience, proof, and mobility.
Fellows graduate with:
A credible body of work (proof you can execute in venture environments)
Strong references and ecosystem relationships that matter
A clearer narrative for roles, partnerships, or founder pathways
Increased confidence navigating startup and innovation environments
Clear next steps into startup roles, ecosystem roles, or founder pathways
For experienced founders, a chance to pay dividends back to the ecosystems they helped create
Paid and Volunteer Options
PIVOT Fellows includes both paid and volunteer stints. Volunteer does not mean “unvalued”—it means signal, access, and proof for people who want the pathway and are ready to earn it.
What Host Organizations Get
